In this workshop, he tells the plain truth about these individuals and provides written instructions which you can use to help a homeless person leave the streets and become gainfully employed. Building a Ridiculously Great Marriage: Premarital and Marital Habits

    March 6, 2020 - 9:00 AM Room: D6

    Gil Stieglitz

    Gil Stieglitz

It's no secret that couples in great marriages do different things than couples in bad ones.

But what are those things and how do ordinary folks start doing them? How can couples take a struggling marriage or even one that is "pretty good" to one that is, quite frankly, ridiculously great?

Based on thousands of counseling hours and personal practice, Gil Stieglitz spells out the 15 essential habits found in great marriages that aren’t found in difficult ones. Building a Ridiculously Great Marriage provides the short and dirty version of what it takes to have a marriage that is so great, other couples will stand up and notice—they might even call it “ridiculous.”

This seminar is a real game-changer for pastors, ministry leaders, and counselors who work with couples for pre-marriage and marriage counseling.

How to Avoid Burnout In Evangelism and Outreach Ministry

    March 6, 2020 - 9:00 AM Room: N11

    Yaahn Hunter

    Yaahn Hunter

We are experiencing a major shift in Evangelical Christianity in our Country and the World at Large. There is a great attack on Fundamentalist Evangelical Christianity that is overt and threatening the effectiveness of Christian Leaders. Statistics reveal that many Christian Leaders are abandoning their first love because of this pressure. Churches are losing good Pastors and Leaders not knowing where to go and who to turn to.

This Workshop will examine the specific areas that challenge today's Christian Leaders. We will look at the spiritual pathological processes that happen in Leaders facing burnout and fatigue in Ministry. We will study Christian Workers who have been able to overcome burnout and what are the secrets of their success.

The goal of the Workshop is to identify the signs of burnout in Ministry. Once we understand these signs we then must develop a strategic Biblically based plan to overcome burnout, stress, depression, and fear. The end result is not to provide escape from the Ministry, but an effective use of the Armor of God in the Ministry!

In this workshop we will explore the three inner weaknesses that are the actual causes for marital unhappiness and collapse. We will also be looking at how we can strengthen those weaknesses and create better opportunities for stronger marriage relationships.

Having a Heart for the Disabled and Our Role as the Church

    March 6, 2020 - 9:00 AM Room: WC 200

    Juanita Alarcon

    Juanita Alarcon

When people ask about Gods view of people with disabilities, the answer should be quite simple: look at the church…look at the spiritual representation of God on this Earth, look at the spiritual leaders of our communities. The church and a person’s faith have a profound impact on their mental and emotional well-being. Many studies reveal that when faith is included in wellness planning, individuals experience shorter recovery times, fewer hospitalizations, and fewer relapses. Faith is the cornerstone of personal wellness and self-care, particularly for special needs parents.

In this workshop, we will explore tangible ways on how to do life with our friends living with disability, how to provide and promote services and outreaches, and how to accelerate Christian ministry in our disability community.

The need for friends touches all generations from young children, teens, young adults, middle aged adults and seniors. Our need for trusted friendships is deep-rooted. We long for someone who will listen to us, understands us and, most importantly, keep our confidences. The Bible gives us many examples of friendships. We will examine the very special friendship of Mary, the mother of Jesus and Elizabeth the mother John the Baptist. In time of historical and societal crisis for both women, they bonded together. As a Christian woman, who is your Elizabeth? Who do you rush to in a hurry with sensational or heartbreaking news? Who do you seek for Godly advice? Together we will study the characteristics of Elizabeth.
