    March 6, 2015 - 10:30 AM Room: WC 215

    Becky Diehl

    Becky Diehl

Anger and Depression are most often symptoms of unresolved sin issues in our past. We need God's validation for the hurt and pain as well as His comfort and healing. We will not find peace and rest in the deepest part of our being until we find that Justice we search for. Practicing authentic biblical forgiveness is how God heals the human soul and frees us (like a key to our prison door) from Anger and Depression. Come and discover the two sides of forgiveness and how to put them into practice in your life. God's healing will help you step out side those prison doors and live a free and victorious life. Note: the world is hungry and longing to see this displayed in the church.

The Joys and Challenges of the Pastor's Wife

    March 7, 2015 - 3:45 PM Room: WC 214

    Vickie Wilson

Being a pastor’s wife is challenging. The perpetual responsibility of leading a church is difficult, and the pressures of the pastor inevitably affects his wife. Many ministries think the Pastor and his wife has no trials, no struggles and no heartaches. Some are even intolerable and highly critical of an “imperfect Pastor’s family”. In some ministries there are inherent expectations of the Pastor’s wife. Often the Pastor’s wife feel she has nowhere to turn for support to deal with her uniqueness. In nearly 30 years of being a Pastor’s wife, I have known the joys and sorrows of being a Pastor’s wife. This session will speak to the uniqueness of the Pastor’s wife. This class will bring hope and encouragement. You will know, you are not alone in the challenges you face every day. A frightening number of Pastors’ wives has given up subtly, as well as overtly. Some Pastors’ wives keep up an exterior happy facade, but inside they are dealing with loneliness, pressures and loss of identity.

The class we will explore the following topics:

    I. Lord, I just want my husband back II. The Difficulties of being a Pastor’s Wife III. Just going through the motions IV. Discourage, bitter and I want to give up V. Fit for Service - taking care of mind, body and soul VI. God is your helper
