The gospel of Jesus Christ is much, much more than just being saved from hell. God's salvation focuses on transforming us into the character likeness of Jesus Himself. Becoming a Christian is not the conclusion of this process; it is the beginning. God tells us in Philippians 2:12 that we are to "...work out our salvation..." Learn the six basic activities to accelerate and deepen this process.

The Church has always played a pivotal role in marriages and as an institution dedicated to service, there is more that can be done before couples get married to prepare the next generation. The foundation of any relationship determines its longevity. Unfortunately, too many relationships are formed today without ever establishing a solid foundation.

Core Values function as the foundation of a person and how they function in life. Too often the cores values that people hold most dear are those that determine how they deal with money, sex, family or religion. Unfortunately, these values are not identified until after some catastrophic event occurs revealing superficial understanding of their significant other. It is therefore no wonder that divorce still plagues the church and society at large. We have spent over 30 years helping couples learn, grow and move confidently in their relationships. We have helped establish marriage ministries in a variety of denominations. With critical questions designed to create meaningful discussion, breakout groups to produce a strategic action plan to develop classes in your church and resources to offer assistance. We want to show you how to help couples establish the longevity they hoped for, not through gimmicks, but practical exercises to allow them to align their vision for their relationship.

    Keynote Speaker

When we look at all the verses in the Bible that speak about forgiveness we discover a very perplexing dilemma. Sometimes forgiveness is unconditional and sometimes it is conditional. How can this be? How can anything be conditional and unconditional at the same time? The solution lies in understanding the two sides of sin and forgiveness. In this workshop we will examine these two sides and how to effectively practice them in our lives.

    Steve Diehl

    Keynote Speaker

There are many different models of and suggestions on how to practice forgiveness in the church today. Most of them fall short of God's model and practice of forgiveness. Our inadequate practice of forgiveness leaves so many in the church wounded, broken, hurt, angry, shamed, depressed, demonized, demoralized, addicted, etc. In this workshop we will look at how God practices forgiveness and how to follow His pattern. Practicing God's forgiveness the way He does allows Him to heal, deliver, free and empower us.

Biblical Counseling brings healing to hurting Christians. All Christians are counselors when we interact with each other. Knowing the principles of Biblical Counseling will help us be more intentional and effective when we speak truth and grace into each others lives. Focus will be on the 'Put On/Put Off' and 'One Another' exhortations found in the New Testament. As lay Christians take on the mantle of counseling each other, they will bring spiritual health to their churches and help for their leaders because effective Biblical Counseling alleviates the burden of counseling currently borne by church leaders.

    Real Forgiveness - Real Healing

    March 3, 2018 - 11:15 AM Room: WC 114

Sins damage everything they touch, including the function of the human soul. Everyone sins. Everyone has had multiple people sin against them. Everyone is wounded and broken. We all function out of our brokenness, even Christians. Becoming a Christian does not automatically heal us, nor does time. God heals the human soul when we practice real forgiveness; receiving it from God, forgiving others and asking others to forgive us.

In this workshop we will examine the damaging nature of sin and the healing power of God's forgiveness. We will also look at the four biggest, missing elements of true, biblical forgiveness in the church today. This will help us to enter into God forgiveness more deeply, become healed more completely, and be able to help others to experience the same.
