Every person on earth goes through a process of identity formation, the most intense portion of which is during what we call adolescence. It is not coincidence that God also has something to say about who we are. The scriptures contain a tremendous amount theology that speaks to who we are and who we are becoming in Christ. Parents, pastors and volunteers then have a wonderful opportunity to draw students into the vision that God has for their lives and how it connects with their own personal journey.

There are over 40,000 future world leaders here today on our college and university campuses. Come to hear how you can share Christ's love with them by becoming their American friend. They face many difficulties with language and knowing our culture. You can help them and at the same time share with them why you do what you do. Doesn't that sound like fun and God honoring? Hope to see you at my workshop next year.

Today's university students are unlike any other generation of men and women in higher education- raised with advanced global technology, constantly bombarded with information from tedious pop culture to heartbreaking injustice both here and abroad. Many seek a faith that not only co-exists with this reality, but also has the power to transform it.
How do we equip today's university students to not only maintain their faith in college, but to grow in love for God in new and changing contexts? What unique opportunities for mission and discipleship will relate to this generation and lead them into a life long faith?
