2020 Workshop

Pastors: Keys to a Successful Pastoral Transition

Churches go through a transition when their Pastor resigns or retires. This workshop will discuss the keys such as forming a transition team, examining past history & future vision, finding an effective interim pastor, and conducting a quality search. The workshop will be led by Rev. Augie Bau and Rev. Linda Bergstrom. Augie has 30 years of experience on the staff of a denominational pension board, and he has witnessed hundreds of churches go through healthy as well as dysfunctional transitions. Linda has served as an Interim Pastor specialist for 13 years, and she has served 9 churches as an Interim Pastor in the Midwest and on the West Coast. The churches range from a variety of sizes and ethnicities, and she will share practical ideas about having a successful pastoral transition.
