Charlene English

Youth Director

New Hope Baptist Church

Seaside, Ca

I like to think of myself as a behind the scenes type of person, one that is willing to help wherever needed. I'm always full of ideas to build new ministries or refresh a ministry that needs a little "pick me up" or boost. In 2009, I was approached by a young lady that wanted to know more about Christ and was not sure where to begin. So, God blessed me to start a ministry in my home that I named "The Sitaspell Sistah Circle". In my circle I studied and taught over 130 named/unnamed women in the Bible, lessons on Prayer, salvation, and growing in ministry. In 2012, I served as Praise Dance director for two years, were I taught young ladies to develop a personal relationship with God and to express their praise for Him through dance. I have been working in Children and Youth ministries for 28 years, I taught Sunday School for 14yrs, and was used as a fill in for VBS (vacation bible school), when teachers were needed. In 2012 I trained under the Children Evangelical Fellowship, were I became certified to teach the gospel in public schools afternoon programs called "The Good News Club". In 2015, I became the Youth Director at New Hope Baptist Church in Seaside, California, were I continue to serve at this present time. I have developed a full Children's ministry that is thriving, and also have trained a young couple to lead our Teen/Young adult Ministry Bible Study. I have attended numerous conferences, workshops, and online courses to enhance my gift of teaching the Gospel to ages 0-100. My passion is to teach the gospel to all ages. God has blessed and equipped me with the talent to teach His message to all ages; from babies in bouncy seats to seniors with walkers, and all ages in between.
