Robert Scott

Minister

Destiny Christian Fellowship

Fremont, CA

Minister Robert L. Scott Jr. is originally from Oakland, California. As a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, pastored by the late Dr. Herbert Guice, he accepted the call to the ministry. He later became the Youth Minister and Worship Pastor at East Bay Bible Church, pastored by Dr. Donel Reedus. There he continued his maturation and received the honor of being ordained. He holds a B.S. in Counseling Psychology and a minor in Christian Theology from William Jessup University. He has many years of experience facilitating small groups, teaching Bible study and Sunday school classes. Presently, he serves in the Men’s Discipleship Ministry at Destiny Christian Fellowship, pastored by Dr. Paul Sheppard.

Vocationally, Robert worked as a skilled tradesman for over 20 years. For the last several years he's worked as an administrator with a local water utility. Robert has spent over 15 years teaching boys how to play basketball. One of his most endearing titles is “Coach.” He purposed to enhance the mental, emotional and athletic development of our promising youth through dedicated involvement in basketball. Robert lives by his motto scripture Proverbs 22:19, “So that your trust may be in the Lord, I have taught you today, even you”(NASB). He has been married to his high school sweetheart Carolyn since 1986, and they have a son named K.J., and two goddaughters named Sarah and Mikiah.
