Church Moblization Minister
Rev. John Dupree has been a Church Mobilization Minister for 27 years. Born into a Navy family, John came to Christ at age 10 and his family lived in Tehran, Iran when he was 12. This was the beginning of a global world-view and openness to varied cultures. He earned a BA in Social Sciences from Chico State University. His work life before God's call into ministry included being a: Substitute High School Teacher while in Grad School, Recreational Therapist with Adult Mentally Retarded for New York state, a Country-Rock recording artist and performer, then a Corporate VP of Marketing negotiating contracts on behalf of the Military MWR and the Federal Government. God called both he and his wife into missions at the same time (250 miles apart). He became an ACMC Regional Director for 17 years serving Northern CA/NV & HI; plus as National Conferences Director. In 1985, he helped plant River Oak Grace in Oakdale. Later served as Elder and Director of International Ministries, then later passed the Ministry License and Ordination Exams. After the merger of ACMC and Caleb Project failed, John resigned as Chairman of the Harvest Group Board to continue to mobilize churches in the same Region (except HI) under the banner of the 501c3 Harvest Group. Over the past 27 years, John organized over 70 Regional and National Conferences, consulted with hundreds of church missions leadership teams, organized 15 Missions Pastors Networks, taught many Perspectives classes (Lessons 5,7,8 & 15), preached in Churches, Conferences and Seminars all over the United States, plus in Romania, India and China. John also served as Intercultural Studies Adjunct Professor at William Jessup University. John just retired as the Perspectives Regional Director for Northern Nevada and Central / Northern California.
