This workshop will discuss the defining features of autism and the possible causes according to research so that participants will have a better understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of those "on the spectrum."
In this workshop, participants will learn some positive behavior supports and techniques they can use with children who have autism when they display challenging behavior in a Sunday School setting. Strategies and structure that can help keep events from triggering outbursts will also be a focus of this workshop.
