Pastors: How To Develop an Intimate Prayer Life

3/9/2019 8:00 - 9:15 a.m. Room: A3

It is good to praise God for the great things He has done and is about to do in you, for you and with you. But you have to understand is that while praise is good, going beyond the veil to worship is what God desires of us. We were not created to praise Him, God is not ego driven that He is depended on your exalting Him. God is God whether you praise Him or not! We are created to have intimacy with Him, we are created to love Him as He created us to love us. God's heart is pouring out to us because He loves us. Can you remember how you felt when you first fell in love, how you couldn't sleep until you heard their voice? Remember how you couldn't wait for them to wake up so you could talk to them, you took long walks and shared ice cream, took pictures because there was no one on this Earth that could compare to them.

God wants to have intimacy with you, I want to help you go beyond the veil and into the secret place with God where as no one else matters but being with Jesus.

Marriage & Families: How to Reach Blended Families

3/9/2019 2:15 - 3:30 p.m. Room: D5

Today we have a variety of "blended" families. There are subsequent marriages where children are brought together from different unions; single parents with children from different partners; grandparents raising grandchildren; multigenerational families where parents live with their children, or relatives; families who add adoptive or abandoned children to their household. There are probably other combinations but these are the main ones. Blended families present additional challenges to the ones that already exist for conventional families.

Marriage & Families: Ministering to a Blended Family When Yours is Traditional

3/3/2018

Blended families have always been with us. In Genesis chapter 30 we read about Jacob, his two wives, sons and daughters who present an early picture of difficulties within a home where there was not an original mom and dad along with the children belonging to just these two. In these early years the most common form of blending were polygamist marriages; however, blended marriages as a result of divorce or being widowed have always been common.

Pastors: Prayer Strategy When You're Wounded

3/3/2018

It is very typical for most Christians to pray on Sunday morning when the Pastor calls us to pray with them. It is very typical to pray and give thanks when you are in a small group setting at church. The real challenge is when you are back in your house and it doesn't feel like a home but a war zone! When you are on your job and the boss is breaking you down with demands, how do you pray when your spouse is so far from God and you should be as one??? Praying sometimes doesn't seem like it is helping because your children are getting worse!!! In every war there must be a strategy to victory or you will continue to endure the same battles!!! I want to show you how to pray in strategy to overcome the battles that you face in this war.
