Due to the rapid changes in our culture's attitude concerning sexual ethics, and homosexuality in particular, Christians are under much pressure to either abandon what scripture says or to redefine it. It is from this milieu that we are now seeing a growing trend towards Biblical revisionism. This workshop will address some of the more common objections to scripture raised by this movement, and equip Christians to speak the truth in love to those who seek to redefine Biblical sexual ethics.
We live in a day and age where debate is no longer settled through of persuasive argumentation, but rather through the use of clever slogans that are frequently and emphatically proclaimed. Perhaps there is no better example of this than in relation to the same-sex controversy. This session examines and responds to some of these cultural mantras that pertain to homosexuality. The workshop also places emphasis on developing a gospel-centered approach in dealing with this controversial issue.
