Children's Ministry Leadership: The Well-Disciplined Kid's Ministry

3/2/2018

You as a children’s worker face a variety of situations. Each class is different. Each year is different. Each leader and child is different. Remember, discipline is teaching by what we say and how we live. God teaches us by grace. We need to show that same grace to the kids in our clubs. Learn how applying the Biblical definition of discipline in your kid's classroom creates an environment of consistency, energy and excitement.

Children's Ministry Leadership: Building Strong Student Leaders to Serve in Your Church

3/2/2018

Building Student Leaders - What better place than your church to plug in a wanting-to-serve-the-Lord teenager as a student leader?

Student Leaders are as diverse in personality, abilities, and spiritual gifts as your adult leaders. Come learn how Titus 2 describes how to mentor and equip young people for powerful lifetime service to the Lord.

We'll use the model described in Titus 2 for detailing the training of student leaders (high school age students) in your church: who they are, what they can do, how they can energize your ministry, and how to carry out the equipping/mentoring process.

We'll lay out all the details: exactly what a student leader needs to know, what a student leader needs to do, and what the student leader gains from the experience.

These principles apply to young adult students serving in any ministry, whether it be youth ministry, Awana Clubs, VBS, Sunday School, day camps, worship team, ushering, or any ministry in your church - student leaders trained under a Titus 2 model will produce amazing results for the Kingdom of God.

Children's Ministry Leadership: Why (and How) YOU Should Start a Grandparenting Ministry in Your Church

3/3/2018

“I want to see my grandkids follow the Lord!” All Christian grandparents would say that, but many lack the vision of what they can do; others have huge obstacles blocking their influence; still others just need some tools.

Surprisingly, you would be hard-pressed to find a church in America that has a ministry focus on grandparenting, yet grandparents are second only to parents in their ability to influence children spiritually.

Grandparents, with incredible potential to influence the next generation, are overlooked, under-resourced, ignored, and mislabeled.

Instead, we want to see millions of Christian grandparents use their influence to its fullest potential, and to see churches recognize and support our power to disciple?

Join us in this incredible new movement!

Children's Ministry Leadership: Multiculturalism and Reaching the Tapestry of Kids for Christ

3/3/2018

We recognize the world has changed and those changes have filtered down to our churches. How have the many cultural differences in our churches: ethnic, economic, family background and lifestyle, affect the ways children react in our kid-ministries? How do we engage children by meeting their needs as well as possible and create a sense of belonging for all kids so we can reach them for Christ and make life-long disciples of Jesus? Gal. 3:28 gives us God's perspective and the direction we should take.

Come discover techniques and tips for working kids as we learn how we can avoid missing the differences in families, values, and priorities.

Why? So we can be most effective at reaching kids and families with the Gospel.

Recruiting and keeping rock-solid volunteers is much more than just saying “help!” It is inviting others to answer the high calling of children’s and youth ministry.

Using the book of Nehemiah, we will find that effective and lasting recruiting must target the mind, imagination, heart, and commitment.

God did a miracle in completing the wall of Jerusalem in just 52 days – with burnt out, exhausted workers. Could He desire to do the same in your ministry?

Children - Elementary: The Ideal Target to Grow Children Spiritually and Morally

3/7/2014

The statistics are appalling: -George Barna tells us one out of every two college students who were raised in the church walk away from it. -Only 10-15 percent of young people have a Biblical worldview. -61% of adults age 20-30 who had been churched as kids are now spiritually disengaged.

How can we see church ministries work together to minimize this dropoff? Thankfully, Scripture does have a model to follow to raise up godly young people who stand up for truth, possessing godly character and enduring faith in God.

Come learn from Genesis 37-50 how the life of Joseph can give our churches and families a target for training up children ages 2-18, and learn five church standards you can take home to evaluate your own church ministries.
