I have been a children's church teacher for over a decade. I taught at First Baptist Church and at Neighborhood Church in Castro Valley. At both locations, I wrote and developed Bible based lessons and directed a team of teachers to present the curriculum. My professional career is in graphic design and illustration with print and internet applications. As a graphic design instructor I have taught college full time for over four years. Including a recent class in computer aided graphic design at William Jessup University.

Children - Elementary: Using Free Internet Video Resources

3/7/2015

This class is designed to show small and budget minded churches how to have a very exciting Gospel based program for students ages seven to twelve years old. This methodology does not involve lengthy pre-class teacher preparations. The teaching techniques and resources can be employed with kids in a variety of programs. These program can be used in a Sunday School, Children's Church, Home Church, Vacation Bible School, Camps, After School, Christian School, and Home School setting. These resources can be used to teach small or large groups of kids. The class will review the source of free Gospel videos available on the internet that present Bible and Missionary stories. The free videos cover a full years worth of weekly viewing. The Biblical videos include key stories in the Old Testament, New Testament and missionary stories from around the world. Along with the videos there will be a review of a educational game that applies to the videos. The game questions are designed specifically for the videos and help kids remember the lesson and important Gospel themes. You will be shown one full video, have the opportunity to play the game, and review additional resources. This will enable you to see first hand how this unique educational approach works and how it reinforces the child's learning process.
