Christian Education: I Have Curriculum Decisions--Help Me!

Most all of us make some adjustments to prepared curriculum or write our own. Most churches do not know how curriculum is structured by style, type, format, etc. We will look at defining the need and then finding some material to meet that need. The workshop provides some objective criteria from which to make those decisions. The workshop does not promote a specific curriculum but provides a grid to help decision making.

Christian Education: A Strategy to Build Adult Disciples, Part 1

This workshop will BEGIN to develop a model of an adult disciple as we work through some scriptural descriptions of what one looks like, acts like, etc. Consideration will be given to how disciples can be made. Finally we will speak to the importance of developing an environment in which a disciple can grow.

Most churches have some approach to doing adult small groups. However many really have a haphazard approach to them. This workshop helps with developing some objective criteria and underscores leadership development as the key in having effective small groups. We will mention resources that can help beyond just the workshop.

This workshop explores BRIEFLY Learning Styles, Modalities and Multiple Intelligences. Then we take that info and determine your strengths as a teacher, small group leader, etc. and discuss how to teach lessons to the Adults in your group. If you are aware that all adults are smart but in different ways that can help you be successful as you work with them.
