Templo De La Cruz
Hayward, Ca

Pastor John Masis was born in San Francisco. Moved to Hayward when he was 11 yrs old. He graduated from Mt Eden High School, the same place where he met his high school sweetheart and future wife Cindy. They have three children, John Jr (who is currently serving in the active duty Air Force), Daniel and Alyssa.

Pastor John retired in 2007 from the Active Duty Air Force. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Pastoral Studies from Patten University in Oakland. He has taught, serves as an Internship Pastor and is a regular chapel speaker with the School of Urban Missions Bible College in Oakland. He has spoken at youth and mens conferences and retreats, convalescent homes, parks, streets and jails.

Pastor John became the Senior Pastor of Templo De La Cruz in 2006. His heart is for the city of Hayward, to see it impacted by the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ. To see the hurting people of our city saved, healed and restored. His desire is to build a New Testament church and see a genuine move of God, a true Revival that goes beyond the church walls to point of impacting the community and society around us. To raise up spiritual sons and daughters that will carry the gospel to the city, to the nation and to the world.

2013 Workshops

Pastors: Spiritual Fatherhood

The prophet Malachi prophesied that God "shall turn the heart of fathers to the children, and the heart of children to their fathers." Paul refers to himself as a father to the Corinthians (1 Cor. 4:15) and pronounces his fatherhood every time he calls Timothy or Titus his son in the gospel. Spiritual fathering is a form a discipleship that is based on relationship and bears fruit that will last. Spiritual fathering provides intimacy, identity and inheritance to spiritual children. It produces sons and daughters that are ultimately ready to be sent to into their purpose and destiny.

Pastors: Emerging Prayer Movements

In recent years there has been the reemergence of prayer movements in our nation. We have seen the International House of Prayer, the Call and other ministries emerge that focus primarily on prayer and intercession. These prayer movements have paved the way for grassroots prayer movements amongst youth of this generation and in schools and in the local church. This reemergence of prayer movements is leading to a new passion for God, social justice, evangelism and is bringing awakening to the church.
