TWBM.com is a Christian broadcasting ministry reaching Asians worldwide. Asian Families Today is a family ministry of TWBM.com. Peter was the director of of Asian ministry in the U.S. for FamilyLife (a division of Campus Crusade for Christ) from 1998 to 2004. He and Emily were the Asian ministry conference speakers. They both served in Christian education ministry for many years. They have also spoken in many family seminars and workshops in Canada and Asia. Currently, they co-host the Christian family radio program "Under One Roof" in Mandarin and Cantonese every Sunday (6 to 10 am) on AM1400.

Asian: Building Stronger Relationships Through Empathy (in Mandarin)

In Romans 12:15, God’s Word instruct us to “Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.” Being an empathic person helps to draw us closer to our family members, our students, and our co-workers. In this workshop, we can learn to cultivate empathy to build stronger relationships and deeper connections with others.

Asian: Take Charge and Discipline with Love (Mandarin)

The Bible teaches responsible parents to bring their children up "...in the discipline and instruction of the Lord." It also tells them "...do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged." It is possible to discipline with encouragement. We will recommend more effective and positive ways to discipline children without losing your mind! This workshop is for parents as well as Sunday school teachers. This workshop will be presented in Mandarin.

Asian: Removing Barriers in Communication (presented in Mandarin)

Good communication is key to every relationship. Effective communication will build bridges of understanding. Poor communication may result in confusion, mistrust, and misunderstanding. In this workshop we will discuss causes of poor communication and ways to help us overcome those barriers.

Asian: The Power of Our Words

Our words can either hurt or build up another person. The words we communicate could make a difference. We will look at what the Bible says about the power of words, as well as practical examples of negative and positive ways to express the same message. “The words of the reckless pierce like swords, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.” Proverbs 12:18. This workshop will be presented in Mandarin.
