Pastors: Pastor's Kid: Unique Joys and Challenges of Being a PK

3/9/2019 8:00 - 9:15 a.m. Room: D1

PK's grow up with a unique and challenging perspective of faith, family and life within the Church. We will have honest conversation about the blessings of being a PK and also consider real issues often faced by pastoral families - examining attitudes and actions that encourage health in the pastor's home. The insights and principles shared are greatly influenced by personal interviews with 20+ young adult PK’s in the recent years and from personal experiences over the past 40 years in Bay Area churches.

Pastors: Leading from the Second Chair

3/9/2019 12:45 - 2:00 p.m. Room: A3

Serving as a pastoral assistant to the Lead/Senior Pastor is a significant privilege and calling, yet not for the feint of heart. For some, it has stirred up feelings of competition or led to discouragement. Thankfully, it can be done with great joy and lead to a fruitful, vibrant ministry life! We are most fulfilled when we can serve with joy, confidence, honesty and courage ... using our unique giftedness while sitting in the 2nd Chair.

Pastors: Every Pastor is an Interim: Preparing for Pastoral Succession

3/3/2017

Every pastor is an interim pastor. More than 1/3 of America's 300,000+ Protestant churches will go through a pastoral transition in the next 7 years. How can elders and pastors prepare themselves, the pastoral family and the church for a pastoral succession sure to come? We will look at case studies, various strategies and face real questions in this interactive workshop. Pastors, Pastoral Spouses and Church Leaders/Elders are welcome.

Pastors: Pastor's Kid: Unique Joys and Challenges of Being a PK

3/3/2017

PK's have a unique and sometimes challenging perspective of faith, family and life within the Church. Our workshop welcomes parents who are pastors/church leaders, PK's of all ages 15+, and church members who care about or serve a pastor's family. We will have honest conversation about the blessings of being a PK, as well as consider real issues often faced by pastoral families, examining attitudes and actions that encourage health in the pastor's home.
