Castro Valley, CA,

I have learned firsthand about God's Power showing up in human weakness. A Psalm of David (139) declares that God is there when we are formed in our mother's womb. He is with us before we are even born. I have to believe that being born without complete legs was not a fetal fluke, but His holy design. Filling my mind and heart with promises from the Bible has been the key to living life to the fullest.

I began my public speaking career when I was thirteen with the talk "Learning to Walk with Artificial Limbs." This evolved into "Learning to Walk with Jesus Christ." Hundreds of speeches later, my messages model authentic hope as I recap tales of a daily life in relationship with a down-to-earth God. A God of abundance. A God of surprises. A God who wants us to dream big.

I married my college sweetheart, David Squier, the same month I received my Masters Degree in Speech, enjoying ten years as a speech pathologist before becoming the full time mother to Emily, Elizabeth and Naphtalie. The children are grown and now come the grandchildren and a blessed life of writing and public speaking with so many stories to tell of God's faithfulness!

Special Needs: Discovering God's Majesty in the Brokenness of the Children and Adults We Teach

The Man of Sorrows, acquainted with grief pitches His tent in our broken lives. Holiness happens when we encounter Him and feel His embrace in such unwelcome places as addictions, autism, and other disabilities, family strife (including the church family) and the not-so-golden years. Lord, give us Your eyes to see the holiness!
